UTEP biology Vivarium
University of Texas at El Paso
AEG had the privilege of designing a new 1,600 SF. Animal Lab in 2013 for the University of Texas at El Paso Biology building. The proposed design for the Vivarium consisted of 4 pipe roof mounted variable air volume air handler with independent variable air boxes with hot water reheat coils. Hydronic system infrastructure would be connected to the existing Biology building mains. Which would require dedicated chilled water and hot water distribution loop pumping system. A central Exhaust system that serves the lab exhaust VAV’s, BSC and Fume Hoods. AEG also design a complete DDC control system to integrate with the Siemens Energy management system. AEG also design the corresponding plumbing systems per NIH standards.
